The CMA has responded to OZEV’s consultation <a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/rapid-charging-fund-scheme-design" class="govuk-link">rapid charging fund: scheme design.</a>The CMA’s 2021 <a href="https://www.gov.uk/cma-cases/electric-vehicle-charging-market-study" class="govuk-link">market study</a> into electric vehicle charging found there was very limited competition in en-route charging, especially along motorways. The CMA recommended that as well as rolling-out the RCF at pace, OZEV attach conditions to this funding to open-up and increase charging competition at motorway services.
