Mobile Phone Lines Exceed 59.5 Million in November

The number of mobile phone lines in Spain reached over 59.5 million in November, with a 3.3% increase compared to the previous year.


According to the latest data from CNMCData, the number of mobile phone lines in Spain increased by 187,120 in November, reaching a total of over 59.5 million. Movistar, Vodafone, and Orange accounted for 70.9% of the total mobile phone lines in the market. The portability of mobile numbers saw over half a million changes of operator, with Grupo MASMOVIL, Movistar, and MVNOs gaining positive net portability balances. Additionally, 99,061 new fiber optic lines were added in November, bringing the total to 14.8 million. Movistar accounted for 36% of the total FTTH lines. The market share of fixed broadband lines in November reached 17.9 million, with 8,047 new lines added during the month. The report also highlights the increase in FTTH lines by 1.1 million compared to the loss of 0.4 million DSL lines.
