28.07.2024 | 🇧🇪 Belgian competition authority
The Belgian Competition Authority (BCA) has released its 2023 Annual Report, highlighting key achievements of the year. Additionally, the report includes the BCA's 2024 Note on Enforcement Priorities, which sets out strategic sectors and priorities for the following year as per the Code of Economic Law.
The Annual Report and the Note on Enforcement Priorities are available in French and Dutch versions on the BCA's website. The BCA, as an independent administrative authority, focuses on combating anti-competitive practices like cartels and abuses of dominant positions, as well as reviewing major merger operations in Belgium.
The BCA collaborates with other competition authorities in EU member states and the European Commission through the European Competition Network (ECN), contributing to the formulation and execution of competition policy within Belgium.
