In the third quarter of 2023, e-commerce revenue in Spain surged by 15.2% to €21.8 billion, with travel agencies, airlines, and clothing leading in revenue. The number of transactions increased by 15.6%, with land passenger transport dominating. Spain had a deficit of €8.98 billion in net external balance, with 55.4% of purchases originating in Spain made abroad. The volume of transactions from Spain to foreign countries rose by 20.1%, with 94.1% of purchases within the EU. E-commerce revenue within Spain grew by 6.5% to €6.6 billion, led by travel agencies.
