The Estonian Competition Authority recognized organizations practicing remote work as part of the 'Remote Work Champion 2024' competition. According to Evelin Pärn-Lee, the Director-General of the Competition Authority, remote work allows flexibility and considers the needs of individuals, demonstrating trust in employees.
In 2024, for the first time, several public and private sector organizations received the remote work recognition. The recognition was awarded to organizations such as Tallinn Airport, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications, and various other entities for their commitment to remote work practices.
The 'Remote Work Champion' digital badge is granted by the Smart Work Association and the Personnel Management Association PARE. This year, 28 organizations received the badge for the first time, with 40 organizations extending its validity. In total, the badge now belongs to 266 organizations.
The badge allows qualified companies to use it in their employer and organizational branding for three years, enhancing their reputation in remote work practices.
