On February 27, 2024, the Board of Directors of the Competition Authority, in the exercise of the powers conferred upon it by paragraph d) of paragraph 1 of article 19 of the Statutes, approved by Decree-Law no. 125/2014, of 18 August, decides to adopt a decision of non-opposition to the concentration operation, under the terms of paragraph b) of number 1 of article 50 of the Competition Law, since it is not susceptible to create significant impediments to effective competition in the national market or in a substantial part of it.

AdC Approves Merger Between EST and Inquieta

The AdC, exercising its powers under the Competition Law, approved the merger between EST and Inquieta, finding that it would not create significant obstacles to competition in Portugal. This decision falls under the non-opposition category, indicating that the merger does not raise concerns regarding competition in the national market.
