Eight teams participated in this year's competition, each supported by different law firms in preparing for the oral hearings. The teams represented various universities and received guidance from prominent legal professionals.

The judging panel, consisting of distinguished experts in the field, evaluated the students based on their legal analysis, teamwork, and time management skills during the proceedings.

Magdalena Bergthaler from Team Universität Salzburg was recognized as the Best Speaker, while Team Universität Wien/Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien, guided by Wolf Theiss, emerged as the overall winning team.

The event, which marks a decade since its inception, was praised for its contribution to fostering interest in competition law among students and legal practitioners. The collaboration between the Bundeskartellamt and the BWB was also highlighted as beneficial for competition protection.
