28.11.2024 | 🇮🇪 Irish competition authority
The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) in Ireland has intervened to address reports of unfulfilled orders and confusion regarding consumer rights at Homebase stores. The CCPC has secured commitments from Homebase liquidators to protect consumers during the provisional liquidation phase.
Homebase liquidators have confirmed that gift vouchers will continue to be accepted at stores, and UK administrators have committed to honoring outstanding orders. Consumers with Homebase vouchers are advised to use them promptly to avoid financial loss, while those with pending kitchen and installation orders can expect to be contacted by Homebase soon.
The liquidators have assured the CCPC that the UK Administrators will instruct Homebase employees and logistics partners to start booking delivery slots for certain kitchen orders. Customers will receive communication regarding their orders starting from December 2, 2024.
