The CNMC has approved resolutions establishing and making public the lists of main and dominant operators in the energy sector, in accordance with the obligations set out in the RD-Law 6/2000.


The CNMC has published resolutions establishing the main and dominant operators in the electricity, gas, fuel, and liquefied petroleum gas sectors. These lists are published annually to comply with the obligations and limitations set out in the RD-Law 6/2000. The main operators are those with one of the five largest market shares in their respective sectors, while the dominant operators are those with a market share exceeding 10%. The operators must comply with certain regulatory provisions, such as participation in market mechanisms and payment of energy taxes. The resolutions are approved in accordance with the law and the CNMC's annual determination of main and dominant operators.
