The CNMC has published the 5th settlements of 2024 for the electricity and renewable energy, cogeneration, and waste sectors, as well as the 8th provisional settlement for the gas sector. In the electricity sector, there was a temporary deviation of 186.9 million euros between revenues and costs. In the gas sector, declared billable revenues in the 8th settlement of 2024 amounted to 1,565,439,702.0 euros, 9.7% lower than the previous year.
For the electricity sector, the total revenues were 6,058.9 million euros, covering costs of 5,872.1 million euros, resulting in a coverage coefficient of 100%. The demand for consumption was 75,859 GWh.
In the renewable energy, cogeneration, and waste sector, the total accumulated amount for 2024 was 1,803.1 million euros, with 1,783.2 million euros paid by the Electricity Sector and 19.9 million euros by the General State Budgets. No temporary imbalances occurred this month, resulting in a 100% coverage coefficient and a payment of 715.6 million euros to producers.
The 8th gas sector settlement covered the period from October 1, 2023, to May 31, 2024. Declared revenues were 1,565,439,702.0 euros, with specific breakdowns for different categories. Gas demand in 2024 was 184.9 TWh, 4.1% lower than the previous year, with total gas output reaching 222.2 TWh.
