The Autorité de la Concurrence is organizing a webinar to discuss competition in the rail and contracted transport sectors. The event aims to gather feedback from industry players on the challenges faced by new entrants in rail markets and ways to stimulate competition in transport markets. The discussions will focus on the opportunities and difficulties associated with the opening up to competition and tender processes for the creation or operation of transport networks. The webinar will consist of two round-table discussions, addressing the obstacles for new entrants in rail markets and strategies to stimulate competition in transport markets. The event is a follow-up to the opinion on land passenger transport published by the Autorité de la Concurrence on 29 November 2023. The webinar is open to industry participants and registration is required to access the live video.
