
    
            <p>Qwint B.V. is a small energy supplier with approximately 700 customers. It plans to leave the market on April 1, 2024, and has therefore not accepted any new customers for some time now. An investigation of the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets (<abbr title="Authority for Consumers &amp; Markets">ACM</abbr>) has shown that Qwint is behind in sending its annual bills and final bills. That is why Qwint has made commitments that it will put in order its billing process, and take measures to ensure it will pay out to customers any outstanding credit balances, even after it has left the Dutch market. ACM has declared Qwint’s commitment binding, and will see to it that the commitment will be executed properly.</p>
<p>Some customers have been waiting for over a year for their final bills, and still do not know if Qwint owes them any money. If Qwint ceases its operations on 1 April 2024, it does not mean that it no longer needs to pay out any outstanding credit balances of customers. That is why Qwint has made this commitment to ensure that all customers receive their annual and final bills. If customers still have outstanding credit balances, they will get their money back and, on top of that, a compensation of up to 20 euros for receiving their final bills too late.</p>

As a result, Qwint has committed to resolving these issues and ensuring the payment of any outstanding credit balances to customers, even post-exit. Customers waiting for final bills will receive their dues along with compensation of up to 20 euros for delays. ACM will oversee the proper execution of Qwint's commitments.
