The Italian Competition Authority imposed fines on health insurance companies Intesa Sanpaolo RBM Salute S.p.A. and Previmedical Servizi per la SanitĂ  Integrativa S.p.A. for unfair commercial practices. The companies were found to have caused delays in processing reimbursement cases, hindered consumers' contractual rights, and made it burdensome for consumers to use insurance services. The investigation revealed issues with the handling of claims, difficulties in contacting customer service, unjustified rejections of reimbursement requests, and failures in implementing effective control systems for claims management activities.<br> The fines were a result of reports from consumers, supervisory activities by Ivass, and additional complaints from consumers experiencing similar issues.
