09.02.2024 | 🇳🇱 Dutch competition authority
Dutch heat supplier Loek Warmte, formerly known as Vestia Energie, has taken steps to resolve issues with its heat network in Duindorp, The Hague. The Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) had imposed orders subject to periodic penalty payments on Vestia Energie/Loek Warmte to address the problems faced by residents. The issues included disruptions in heat supply due to blocked filters in the heat pump caused by dirt in the water from Vestia Energie's network. ACM ordered Vestia Energie/Loek Warmte to clean the filters, develop a recovery plan for a secure heat supply, and provide clear annual bills to consumers. Loek Warmte has now implemented all the measures, leading to the conclusion of ACM's investigation. The ACM will continue to monitor Loek Warmte's heat supply to ensure reliability.
