The MIBEL regulators are commemorating the 20th anniversary of the agreement establishing the Iberian Electricity Market with a conference in Braga on October 1, 2024, focusing on the market's role in the European market design.

Alongside the conference, the 3rd edition of the MIBEL Award is being launched to recognize academic works related to the conference theme, encouraging research and innovation in areas like Engineering, Economics, Law, Mathematics, and Finance.

The MIBEL regulators, including entities like CNMC and ERSE, are actively involved in coordinating regulations, operations, and supervision of the Iberian Electricity Market, as outlined in the international agreement signed in 2004 and amended in 2008.
