29.09.2024 | 🇸🇮 Slovenian competition authority
The Slovenian Competition Agency issued administrative decisions on December 28, 2021, finding that several companies had violated competition laws, resulting in fines exceeding €1 million. The companies involved were Renault Nissan Slovenia, GA ADRIATIC d.o.o., Avtohiša Real d.o.o., Avtohiša Malgaj d.o.o., Pleško Cars d.o.o., and Avtoservis Kalan d.o.o.
The new Competition Act introduced the possibility of reducing administrative fines through settlements, encouraging companies to engage in this process for benefits and quicker resolution. Four of the five parties opted for settlements, leading to a 20% reduction in fines, while the leniency applicant had their fine waived.
By accepting the settlements, the four companies resolved their cases, while the Competition Agency will continue proceedings against the party that did not opt for settlement.
