In August 2024, Spain recorded 15.6 million fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) connections, marking a monthly growth of 75,012 lines. Movistar, Vodafone, and MASORANGE were the key players in the market, collectively owning 90% of fixed broadband lines.
On the mobile front, the month saw an addition of 132,701 lines, bringing the total to 60.18 million, with the same three companies holding a 90.6% market share. Mobile number portability decreased to 410,177, with OMVs and Movistar gaining positive balances while Vodafone and MASORANGE faced negatives.
Voice mobile lines with broadband reached 52.98 million, up by 2.5% from the previous year. However, in fixed telephony, Spain lost 2,626 lines, ending the month with 17.72 million lines. NEBA local lines totaled 2,777,776, with 1,150,934 being NEBA (FTTH and copper) lines, of which 1,143,351 were fiber.
