In July, the mobile phone market in Spain saw over 60 million lines, with Movistar, Vodafone, and MASORANGE dominating the sector.


In July, the mobile phone market in Spain reached 60.05 million lines, showing a 2.2% increase from the previous year. Movistar, Vodafone, and MASORANGE accounted for 90.2% of the market share.

Portability of mobile numbers was below 500,000 changes, with 462,246 total portabilities. Movistar and OMVs had a positive net portability balance, while Vodafone and MASORANGE had negative balances.

Additionally, there were 52.87 million mobile voice lines with broadband, marking a 2.6% increase from 2023. The month also closed with 15.5 million FTTH lines, with Movistar holding 35.6% of them.

On the other hand, in July, there were 17.72 million fixed telephone lines, with a loss of 6,328 lines. Wholesale counted 2,772,634 NEBA local lines, with 1,154,109 being NEBA indirect access lines, of which 1,144,052 were fiber.
