The CNMC has published the 6/2024 settlements for the electricity sector and the 9/2024 settlement for the gas sector. In the electricity sector, there was a temporary deviation of -360.1 million euros between revenues and costs, leading to a coverage coefficient of 94.07% due to insufficient revenues to cover recognized costs.
In the renewable energy, cogeneration, and waste sector, the 9/2024 settlement totaled 2,202.9 million euros, with 2,177.6 million euros paid by the Electricity Sector and 25.3 million euros from the General State Budgets. Temporary revenue-cost imbalances affected the accumulated settlement, resulting in a coverage coefficient of 94.07% and a payment of 268.0 million euros to producers.
For the gas sector, the 9/2024 provisional settlement covered the period from October 1, 2023, to June 30, 2024. Declared revenues were 1,715,565,636.5 euros, 11.7% lower than the previous year. The breakdown of liquidable revenues by categories showed deviations in different segments, with a decrease in local networks and an increase in LNG plants.
