The Kartellrecht Moot Court 2025 is now accepting applications from students interested in antitrust law. Interested candidates should submit their applications to ELSA Austria, specifically to Mr. Philipp Straßer, via email at mootcourts@at.elsa.org. The application must include a CV, a transcript, and a motivation letter of no more than 300 words. The deadline for submissions is Friday, January 31, 2025.

This year, teams will receive guidance from esteemed Austrian law firms during the preparation of their written submissions and subsequent oral hearings. The final round and oral arguments are scheduled for Friday, May 16, 2025.

The final day will feature a distinguished jury, chaired by the President of the Senate of the OLG Wien, Mag. Sonja Köller-Thier. The jury will also include notable figures such as Mag. Heinz Ludwig Majer, MBA (Federal Cartel Attorney), Dr. Heinrich Kühnert (Dorda Rechtsanwälte GmbH), Ass.-Prof. Dr. Lena Hornkohl, LL.M. (University of Vienna), and Mag. Corinna Potocnik-Manzouri (BWB). The opening ceremony and award presentation will be conducted by Dr. Natalie Harsdorf, LL.M. (BWB).

This year's case will be drafted by Ass.-Prof. Dr. Lena Hornkohl, LL.M., with assistance from student assistant Maximilian Burger from the Institute for European Law, International Law, and Comparative Law at the University of Vienna. The case details and additional organizational information will be published after the application deadline.
