More than 55% of internet users in Spain made online purchases in the last half of 2023, with the majority receiving their packages at their homes. However, there is a growing trend of people choosing alternative locations to collect their online purchases.
Correos remains the leading delivery company for online purchases, surpassing competitors like Seur, MRW, and DHL. Additionally, a significant percentage of individuals received their last online purchase package from Amazon.
The report also highlights that a large portion of Spaniards have received letters or notifications from public administrations via postal mail, with many visiting post offices mainly for receiving or sending packages.
The data is part of the CNMC Household Panel survey, conducted biannually to gather insights on various sectors including telecommunications, energy, postal services, and transportation. The survey involved 5,148 households and 8,601 individuals in the fourth quarter of 2023.
