The Croatian Competition Authority has extended the deadline for making a final decision on the merger between Eagle Hills Zagreb Real Estate, Sunčani Hvar d.d., and Sunčani Hvar nekretnine d.o.o.

The Croatian Competition Authority (CCA) has extended the deadline for making a final decision on the merger case involving Eagle Hills Zagreb Real Estate d.o.o., Sunčani Hvar d.d., and Sunčani Hvar nekretnine d.o.o. The extension of three months pushes the deadline to 11 October 2024.

Following the receipt of a complete notification of the concentration on 11 June 2024, the CCA initiated a Phase II compatibility assessment proceeding due to the acquisition of a direct controlling interest over Sunčani Hvar nekretnine d.o.o. by Eagle Hills Zagreb Real Estate. The CCA identified potential anticompetitive effects in the relevant markets, leading to an in-depth investigation.

The CCA has commenced a market investigation and requested additional information from various stakeholders, including the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, hotel chains, tourist boards, and travel agencies. Due to the substantial amount of data received and pending responses, additional analyses are deemed necessary to establish the facts of the case.
