28.07.2024 | 🇪🇪 Estonian competition authority
The Competition Authority in Estonia is conducting a public consultation to evaluate regulatory and administrative barriers in long-term renewable energy purchase agreements, known as Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), typically lasting between 3 to 15 years. These agreements are voluntarily entered into between producers and buyers based on market conditions without regulatory intervention in pricing.
The analysis aims to assess the market share of long-term renewable energy purchase agreements and identify any regulatory or administrative obstacles hindering the conclusion or development of such agreements. These obstacles may include disproportionate or discriminatory procedures, fees, requirements, standards, or other regulatory constraints.
Market participants are invited to provide feedback and comments on the consultation document by emailing info@konkurentsiamet.ee by August 27, 2024. For additional questions or information, inquiries can be directed to armin.ilisson@konkurentsiamet.ee.
