<p>Both the CMA’s Domestic Bulk LPG Market Investigation Order and the Domestic Bulk LPG Market Investigation (Metered Estates) Order require Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) providers to notify customers in writing that they are eligible to switch, no sooner than one month before and no later than one month after the end of their exclusive supply contract. Between 20 July 2023 and 31 October 2023 Calor Gas Limited breached both Orders by failing to notify customers in writing that they were nearing the end of their exclusive supply contracts. Calor Gas Limited should have sent letters reminding 5,923 customers of their rights but failed to send them.</p><p>Calor Gas has now notified all customers who were affected by the breach.</p>

The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) discovered that Calor Gas Limited violated the Domestic Bulk LPG Market Investigation Order and the Domestic Bulk LPG Market Investigation (Metered Estates) Order by not informing customers about their ability to switch suppliers within the specified timeframe. Calor Gas failed to send reminders to 5,923 customers regarding the end of their exclusive supply contracts. The company has since notified all affected customers of the breach.
