A conference at the Law Faculty in Osijek, organized by the Croatian Competition Agency and the Faculty of Law, focused on the enforcement powers and benefits of the Unfair Trading Practices Act (UTPs Act) in Croatia. The event covered common infringements, amendments, and case studies related to unfair trading practices.

The application of the UTPs Act in Croatia has led to positive changes in business practices, including increased legal certainty, mandatory contract content, invoicing rules, and adherence to payment deadlines. The Act aims to regulate relationships between traders, buyers, and suppliers of agricultural and food products.

Panel discussions at the conference involved key stakeholders such as the Competition Council, Croatian Agricultural Chamber, Croatian Chamber of the Economy, and Ministry of Agriculture. Participants shared insights on the effects of the UTPs Act and proposed improvements through better communication and collaboration among stakeholders and relevant authorities.
