On June 5, 2024, the Board of Directors of the Competition Authority, using the powers conferred on it by paragraph d) of paragraph 1 of article 19 of the Statutes, approved by Decree-Law No. 125 /2014, of 18 August, decides to adopt a decision of inapplicability, in accordance with subparagraph a) of paragraph 1 of article 50 of the Competition Law, as it does not constitute a concentration operation within the meaning of the article 36 of this diploma.

Competition Authority Decides Not to Apply Merger Rules to Notícias Ilimitadas / Global Notícias

The Competition Authority's Board of Directors, on June 5, 2024, made a decision regarding the merger between Notícias Ilimitadas and Global Notícias. The decision was based on the authority's powers as outlined in the Competition Law statutes.
