26.09.2024 | đź‡đź‡ş Hungarian competition authority
A Hungarian shoe and clothing retailer, CCC, has committed to changing its pricing practices following an investigation by the national competition authority, GVH. The investigation was part of a series of probes into online retailers suspected of misleading pricing practices.
CCC agreed to display only two prices during promotions: the current discounted price and the lowest price in the 30 days preceding the promotion, as required by law. Additionally, the company will limit the duration of sales to prevent misleading consumers about the extent of discounts.
The GVH accepted CCC's commitments as sufficient to address the issues raised, closing the case without determining any wrongdoing. The authority will monitor the company's compliance closely in the future.
