The Hellenic Competition Commission has approved, under Decision No. 858/2024, the acquisition of the company PI ENTDIBELPMENT AE by TERNA AE in the construction sector, in accordance with Article 6 of Law 3959/2011.

The acquisition concerns the relevant markets of large public and private construction projects, where the merging companies TERNA AE and PI ENTDIBELPMENT AE operate. The Commission assessed any horizontal effects of the transaction and concluded that the increase in the market share of the new entity resulting from the acquisition is very low.

Furthermore, the vast majority of surveyed competitors believe that there are no barriers to entry in the construction sector and that, overall, the effects of the disclosed acquisition on the market under review will be negligible.

Based on the above, the Hellenic Competition Commission unanimously approved the notified concentration under Article 8(3) of Law 3959/2011, as it does not raise serious doubts regarding its compatibility with competition requirements in the relevant markets.
