The Competition Authority approved the acquisition of exclusive control by HIMITHEA MONOPROSOPI ANONYMI ETAIREIA EKMETALLEFTIKIS NOSILEFTIKON MONADON KAI IATRIKON - DIAGNOSTIKON KENTRON KAI PAROKHIS SYNAPHON YPIRESION over specific private clinics, rehabilitation centers, and other participations of the EUROMEDICA ANONYMI ETAIREIA PAROKHIS IATRIKON YPIRESION - IDIOTIKES KLINIKES - IDIOTIKA DIAGNOSTIKA ERGASTIRIA IDIOTIKA POLYIATREIA.

The acquiring company, HIMITHEA, based in Athens, provides hospital services and health services through the general clinic 'Erricos Dynan' and is controlled by the STRIX/BLANTYRE Group.

The target businesses include clinics, rehabilitation centers, and other companies currently jointly controlled by the STRIX/BLANTYRE and FARALLON Groups, as well as the company EUROMEDICA RODOU exclusively controlled by the FARALLON Group.

The concentration under review has a purely horizontal dimension, with the STRIX/BLANTYRE Group already exercising control jointly with the FARALLON Group over all but one of the target clinics. Considering the absence of affected markets and the change from joint to exclusive control over the majority of the target clinics, the Competition Authority concluded that the concentration is unlikely to have any anti-competitive effects.

Therefore, the Competition Authority unanimously approved the notified concentration under Article 8 para. 3 of Law 3959/2011, as it does not raise serious doubts about its compatibility with competition requirements in the relevant markets.
