The High Administrative Court of the Republic of Croatia has rejected the appeal of EUROTEX GLOBAL TRADE d.o.o. and confirmed the ruling of the Administrative Court in Zagreb. The case involved EUROTEX GLOBAL TRADE's attempt to challenge the decision of the Croatian Competition Agency (CCA) from October 2022.
The Administrative Court in Zagreb initially dismissed EUROTEX GLOBAL TRADE's claim in an administrative dispute against the CCA. The CCA's decision had found that EUROTEX GLOBAL TRADE engaged in unfair trading practices and abused its strong bargaining power in dealings with sweetcorn suppliers. The court also denied EUROTEX GLOBAL TRADE's request for the recovery of litigation costs.
With the High Administrative Court's decision, the CCA's infringement ruling from October 2022 stands as legally valid, concluding the legal proceedings in this case.
For more details, the summary of the CCA's infringement decision in English can be accessed, while the full non-confidential CCA decision is available in Croatian.
