Manker Beauty Case Concludes with Consumer Compensation Agreement

The Hungarian Competition Authority closed its investigation into Manker Beauty after the company cooperated significantly, leading to an agreement for compensating affected consumers.


A Hungarian company, Manker Beauty, cooperated with the Competition Authority during an investigation, resulting in the Authority waiving fines in exchange for the company fulfilling compensation commitments. All consumers affected by the investigation will receive compensation.

The investigation by the Competition Authority was initiated in June 2022 due to suspected unfair commercial practices towards consumers in the sale of dietary supplements by Manker Beauty.

Manker Beauty began selling the dietary supplements in question in July 2021 and made improvements to its communication practices after the start of the investigation. The company admitted wrongdoing and committed to compensating affected consumers.

Each consumer who purchased the products under investigation between July 15, 2021, and August 5, 2022, will receive a compensation of 1000 Hungarian forints. The company will reach out to consumers for payment details.
