19.11.2024 | 🇫🇷 French competition authority
EasyPark Group, a Swedish company, has received approval to acquire sole control of the Flowbird group, a leading supplier of pay-and-display parking machines in France. The Autorité de la concurrence examined the transaction's effects on various markets and found no competition concerns.
Both EasyPark and Flowbird are active in providing parking payment solutions, including mobile apps and pay-and-display machines, as well as parking management support services for local authorities. The Autorité focused its analysis on the markets for mobile parking payment solutions, pay-and-display machines, and parking management support services.
The Autorité ruled out any risk of harm to competition, both horizontally and non-horizontally, and found no concerns regarding foreclosure strategies that could harm competitors. The transaction was cleared without any conditions imposed.
