The Belgian Competition Authority has given the green light to IK Investment Partners' acquisition of BOMA Group, a subsidiary of BMACON. The acquisition was made through IK Investment Partners' subsidiary, BOMA BidCo, which is a Belgian entity owned by IK X Luxco 4 S.Ă .r.l, a company solely controlled by IK Investment Partners.
BOMA Group, the target of the acquisition, is a subsidiary of the Belgian holding company BMACON. BOMA specializes in distributing professional cleaning and hygiene products in the Benelux and France regions. Their product range includes various cleaning products for routine cleaning tasks.
The BCA found that the conditions for applying the simplified procedure were met and that there were no objections to the acquisition. IK Investment Partners, the acquirer, is a Swedish private equity fund with portfolio companies in healthcare, industrial goods, business services, and consumer goods sectors.
