The Croatian Competition Agency and State Attorney’s Office have signed a cooperation agreement to enhance collaboration in competition matters, particularly in public procurement procedures.

On June 10, 2024, the president of the Competition Council and the Chief State Attorney of Croatia signed a cooperation agreement to boost collaboration in competition, focusing on public procurement.

The agreement aims to improve the prosecution of crimes related to competition violations, such as bid rigging in public procurement. The State Attorney’s Office will handle criminal offenses, while the Competition Agency will ensure effective prosecution and regulatory tasks within its jurisdiction.

Additionally, the cooperation includes providing professional and technical assistance, continuous education for experts from both agencies in competition matters, participation in educational programs, and jointly organizing events like round tables and conferences.
